The trail winds through shady trees in Meeks Park. Even though many events have been postponed or canceled due to COVID-19, one can still enjoy nature in the mountains. More activities are being scheduled, but it is best to check before attending.

“The Blue Ridge National Heritage Area’s Craft Trail Exhibit” – Entitled Find Craft in the Far West, the exhibit consists of six panels depicting craft sites in eight Western North Carolina towns, including Hayesville, Brasstown and Murphy.

The North Georgia Chamber Symphony will present a live concert in Meeks Park, where you can bring your chairs, practice social distancing, and Wear a Mask! You may sit outside of the pavilion, and you will still be able to hear us because we will have microphones on our fiddles!

The 5th annual Appalachian Brew, Stew & Que Festival will be Saturday, October 24th from 11am – 5pm. Enjoy craft beer from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina & Alabama. You will also enjoy glass blowing demonstrations, area restaurants, and live music! Free shuttles will be available to and from the hotels and campground.

Lake Blue Ridge Concert Series – Jennifer Lynn Simpson & Alex Guthrie. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Event will be compliant to social distancing. Bring own chairs and coolers. All proceeds go to St. Jude Hospital for Pediatric Cancer.
