Art & Crafts – Tuesday – Sunday, November 30 – December 5, 10 am – 6 pm, The Art Center, Blue Ridge (706-632-2144)
“Holiday Show & Sale” – Come shop for that perfect holiday gift, one that is creative and unique during this holiday retail exhibit.  We will have a multitude of artistic and handcrafted items for sale, all made from our member artists.  So whether it is jewelry, pottery, paintings, or anything in between, we have that unique gift for your holidays.

Percussion Concert – Tuesday, November 30, 7 pm, Glenn-McGinnis Hall, Young Harris College (706-379-5182)
Enjoy the sounds of the YHC Percussion Ensemble.

Tour of Trees – Wednesday – Saturday, December 1 – 4, 9 am – 4 pm, Union County Community Center, Blairsville (7 06-745-5789)
Holiday magic happens every year with our Tour of Trees and it’s sure to dazzle everyone again this year! We welcome the community to join us in continuing this tradition in touring the Community Center that’s filled with 40 beautifully decorated trees and wreaths.

Plein Air Painting – Thursday, December 2, 2 – 5 pm, ArtWorks, Hiawassee (706-896-0932)
Meet at ArtWorks and leave at 2 pm for a local scenic spot to spend a fun afternoon painting with other artists. All media welcome. Bring supplies and equipment you can carry. Some walking on uneven ground may be required.  Remember to bring some water and a hat. During winter months, we paint as long as afternoon temperature is at least 50 degrees.

Shopping – Thursday, December 2, 5 – 8 pm, downtown Blairsville
Every first Thursday of the month is “Shop Late Thursday” in Downtown Blairsville! Participating Downtown Blairsville businesses will be open additional hours from 5pm – 8pm and will feature deals, discounts, and other exciting offers!

Holiday Lights – Thursday – Saturday, December 2 – 4, 6 – 9 pm, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee (706-896-4191) *
“Mountain Country Christmas in Lights– The Georgia Mountains will transform into a spectacular, magical holiday light show immersed in Christmas music, arts and crafts, food, fun and entertainment.

“Four Old Broads at Christmas” – These gals in the home are in desperate need of a vacation, but they take the same trip they take every year, a snooze-cruise through Helen, GA. But Beatrice, like any former burlesque Queen, refuses to be boring. With the help of her friends, the pious Eaddy Mae, forgetful Imogen, soap-obsessed Maude, and the retired Elvis Impersonator Sam, these geriatric grandparents attempt to sneak away to the Sassy Seniors Caribbean Cruise! But will their farcical plan work, or will the Killjoy Nurse Pat spoil their getaway and simply send them down the river?

Come join us for some free family fun: Pictures with Santa, Games, Mayor’s Christmas Train, Gingerbread Villages, Family Photo Opportunities, Live Music, Refreshments. And plenty of fun for the whole family! All kids (0-99+) are invited.

Christmas Bazaar – Saturday, December 4, 9 am – 2 pm, St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Blue Ridge (jdbrooten@aol.com)
This one-day event will make your holidays ring with joy as you discover gifts, wonderful baked goods, plus other items from the kitchens of great cooks, beautifully handcrafted gifts and cabin decor at the 15th Annual St. Luke’s Church Christmas Bazaar. Silent auction of special items and a raffle fill out the day. This year’s event will feature an indoor and outdoor Christmas Market.

Kris Kringle Mountain Market – Saturday, December 4, 10 am – 3 pm, Union County Farmer’s Market, Blairsville (706-439-6043)
Enjoy a visit to the European Outdoor Holiday Market right here in the North Georgia Mountains! Music, children’s area. More than 75 vendors with produce, arts/crafts, and delicious food creations.

“Funky Birds” – Acrylic Painting on 4×4 Canvas of silly, lovable birds. Instructor: Barbara Keyes.

Parade & Tree Lighting – Saturday, December 4, 4 – 7 pm, Downtown Blairsville (706-347-3503)
“Christmas on the Square and Parade” – Pictures with Santa at the Historic Courthouse from 4 – 6 pm. Celebrate Christmas with the Evening Parade to start at 6 pm, tree lighting & caroling following the parade. 10 am – 4:00 pm – Open House in the 1906 Butt-Mock House.

Enjoy this annual holiday musical concert by Young Harris College students.

Tour of Homes – Sunday, December 5, 11 am – 6 pm, Family Connection, Blue Ridge (706-632-6063) *
Join Fannin County Family Connection on our Christmas Tour of Homes! Ticket holders will meet at the Fannin County Family Connection Community Room for holiday refreshments between 11 am and 2 pm. Once there you will receive your maps and directions, along with credentials for entry into each of the homes. You may visit homes between 1 PM until 6 PM. Tickets available at Fannin County Family Connection, United Community Bank and online at www.fannin.gafcp.org. All proceeds are used to fund Drug & Alcohol outreach programs and the food pantry at Family Connection.
